It’s an interesting feeling taking The Peanut to do things I used to do when I was young in the places I used to do them. I can only imagine that this will get more interesting as time goes by.
For those who happened to shoot a passing glance at the calendar today you may have noticed that today is All Hallows’ Eve. A momentous day where children all over the world transform into mindless candy demons, or superheros, or princesses, or whatever they happen to have at hand. As it happens The Peanut happened to have a flight suit on hand.
We walked up and down the street I grew up on, trick or treating at houses that I had, with, in some cases, the same people still there. There are no doubt countless other things that will be like that over the next forever. What’s been interesting for me with this whole “parenting” experience though is how perfectly normal and not in any way strange it has felt from day zero.
This was no different.
