I Thought We Were Having Chicken?

St. Thomas, USVI – Day 15

A few ideas popped into my head about what I was going to write about today, but I made the mistake of not writing them down when I thought of them so I have, obviously, forgotten them.

I got a lot of good stick time today. In the morning I got in the skid steer and cleared a spot that is now going to be a small parking area. In the afternoon I spent a lot of time today going back and forth from the airport picking up the last of the gear that the Army guys had there.

I came to the realization yesterday that this is my first time driving on the left hand side of the road. For those that don’t know, down here, even though all the cars are left hand drive, they drive on the left side of the road. Like most people new to this I had to keep reminding myself when turning which side of the road to be on. Unlike most people new to this I was doing it in a 13k Forklift.

We made a lot of trips back and forth and there’s this little chicken place right by the airport that is supposed to be wicked good. One guy kept saying that we were going to stop there, but we never did. Guess we’ll have to make another trip back. The only chicken I’ve had recently has come sealed in a bag.

In other news I found out that if you walk to the other side of the field you can get some Wi-Fi. I may be able to get some posts up while I’m here after all. Will totally depend on work schedules though as to whether or not I’ll have the time.

Where are you going? Where have you been?
