0200 wake up. Wheels up at 0500.
We have officially returned to St. Thomas.
Only the outer edge of the storm hit here, so things are not much worse than they were before. All of our equipment made it through just fine. We left the bases of the tents in place so we were able to get things set up much quicker today. Tomorrow we should be able to get back to where we were before.
It’s nice to finally be back doing something. The last few days were starting to get to everyone. No doubt because of the uncertainty. Obviously we have the same uncertainty here, but at least there’s work to do. In Florida there was nothing to do. Couple that with not knowing when we were leaving made for a lot of antsy people. If we had had a set date a head of time then I think people would have been a lot more relaxed, but in situations like this that’s not exactly possible. So you make do. Sleep in, take a long shower, get lunch, take a nap, find dinner. Stop for coffee somewhere in there.
Now we’re back on the island and have a purpose again.
